The leading oil and gas event in Latin America is organized every two years by the Brazilian Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels Institute (IBP). This year’s edition explored a brand new cross-platform format, with updated program and content for the exhibition, conference and parallel events.

Since joining Shell in 1996 after graduating with a Master of Engineering in Chemical and Bioprocess from the University of Surrey, UK, she has enjoyed an international career living and working amongst others in the Netherlands, USA, Nigeria, Norway and latest Brazil. Her latest role prior to moving to Brazil was as the Asset Manager for the Troll gas and oil field in Norway. Since 2004, she has been actively involved in unitizations and is part of Shell´s global community of expertise for unitization.

Graduated in geology (Msc) from Angola University and post-graduated in Petroleum Geology from Algerian Petroleum Institute. He brings more than 30 years of experience in the petroleum sector.
He started his career ate AMOCO. In 1978 he joined Sonangol where he held technical and management positions and served also as adviser to the Minister of Petroleum of Angola. In November 1990 he joined Elf Exploration Angola as Deputy General Manager. Assigned to the head offices in Paris, he was responsible for the Elf Aquitaine E&P joint Ventures. In 1999, he held the position of Delegate General Manager in TotalFinaElf E&P Angola and then CEO for Total E&P Brasil and Group Representative in the Country.
In August 2008, he became Sonangol’s Country Manager in Brazil and then CEO of Sonangol Starfish Oil & Gas (SSOG). From October 2011, he became Senior Advisor of SSOG Presidency. Candido has been an active member of IBP and has served as member of the Administrations’s Council.

The economist has a broad experience on government, academics and private sector companies. In the period 2010-2013 he served as member of the Executive Board of the Central Bank of Norway. From 2014, he is a member of World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on the Future of Oil & Gas, and also serves as Chief Expert Advisor for WEF’s work on Energy Architecture Performance Index. His experience includes different positions in the Norwegian Ministry of Finance, Total E&P Norway, Pöyry Management Consulting/Econ Centre for Economic Analysis, in addition to Statoil.

John Brantley

He manages IBM’s global portfolio of clients across all these industries and is also responsible for the design, development and delivery of industry specific solutions that are based on advanced research & development concepts and integrate IBM’s hardware, software and service capabilities. A strong believer in collaboration as the path to innovation, Brantley has reached out to business partners and clients alike to design and develop the next evolution of industry specific solutions that address these industry’s most challenging issues including profitable exploration, integrated operations, asset management and production design and scheduling. The last two years, he has been living and working from Shanghai, China. He received his BA in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire and his MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology.
